Italian Photography Festival - 1st Edition - From the Earth to the Moon, explorations of Italian photography
ITALIAN PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL
1ST EDITION
FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON. EXPLORATIONS ON ITALIAN PHOTOGRAPHY
Dialogue with Contemporary Authors
The Italian Photography Festival has set out to create a bridge between the great masters and ten contemporary authors, selected based on the theme of the year: "From the Earth to the Moon. Explorations on Italian Photography." This title, inspired by Jules Verne's 1865 science fiction novel, "From the Earth to the Moon," evokes imagination and the prediction of the future, fundamental concepts that have also shaped the history of photography.

The ten exhibitions of the selected authors - Lorenzo Cicconi Massi, Simone Donati, Francesco Faraci, Simona Ghizzoni, Sara Munari, Raffaele Petralla, Edoardo Romagnoli, Stefano Schirato, Ilaria Sagaria, and Valentina Vannicola - tell unique and engaging stories that range from the intimacy of the marginal landscapes of Casentino to the dark futuristic visions of the Cosmodrome, from the magic of adolescence in Crisalidi to the geological transformation in Rêve Géologique. Each exhibition offers a different perspective and a unique look at themes related to exploration, memory, the environment and our presence on the planet.
